And Now For Some Good News
Monday, March 22, 2010 at 7:39AM If you've not yet purchased Drink to the Lasses, now is the time:
That is correct: For the low, low price of $867.34, a brand-new copy of a 176-page paperback book, apparently bound in cocaine and the tears of faerie queens, can be yours. But if you're determined to be cheap and stingy about it, and get it used, like hobos do, it can be had for a mere $41.64.
This is happening because I've switched distributing publishers, and rumors are that you can very much find a copy for somewhat less than this edition's actual $867.34 retail price. For the moment, however, I'm totally donating the copies I have on hand to the nearest church auction, and stapling a printout of the receipt to my next tax return.
royalty will still be $1.04 per at: mbe@drinktothelasses.com

That sure was a sage investment. Today I'll put my copy in the safe :)
I am sure it is worth it! ;)
WOW. So publishers charge readers $867, but only give you $1? That's an insane profit margin.
Actually, the publishers don't make it; the Amazon resellers do. Capitalism, baby.
"bound in cocaine and the tears of faerie queens" - I spouted Cherry Coke, congrats
