Suggestions for 2012

Okay, both conventions are over!  Move along.  Time to start planning for next round!

A few gentle suggestions for both parties:

-Both McCain and Obama had extremely boring ambulatory entrances, with-- what?  A spotlight?  Pffft.  Next time, I want to see the candidates lowered to the stage by wires.  I want a full-blown candidate fly-by.

-Holy crap, the music.  There are billions of dollars in the coffers.  Spend maybe twelve dollars of it.  Please score your pre-produced bio videos with something other than the demo button on a Casio 200 keyboard.

-Let us have Feats of Strength.  Maybe some log-tossing; maybe some synchronized swimming.  Phelps it out a little.

-Nothing shall replace the balloon.  A ceiling full of balloons hurling down upon the delegates and blocking out their hats is the best part of the whole thing.  This may, and must, remain.

-What might accompany the balloons?  A ball of fire.  Just puttin' it out there.

I love it.
Candidates flying in on wires. Or maybe zip-line.

Is it me or did all the music at the RNC sound like the Dallas theme song?

(On your suggestions) What would be the point? By 2012 we'll all be pretty busy sweeping the streets and putting our WELCOME carpets, to receiver our "Annunaki Overlords that will finally return to take over the planet ;-)

PS: I'm giving a try to this new CHROME browser to feel all hip and rebellious to our REAL masters (Microsoft), but the check spelling feature is kind of annoying...

I would hold on that, my friend. In the original user agreement, CHROME will OWN YOU-- all content posted through the browser. Google says its being changed, but for the moment, thank you, no.

Caber tossing and fire might actually be enough to entice me to actually watch those things.

I actually used the conventions to catch up on all my DVR shows.

I am so tired of all the campagning that I don't really even care who wins anymore, just make those commercials stop.

Yeah, I was aware of that "terms of agreement" pickle.

But it's just that I'm tired of having IE (yeah, I know I know!) crashing over me when I'm having 20+ windows and tabs opened. The idea of having every tab working as a separate process seemed pretty cool.

I am personally hooked on Firefox for browsing, couldn't tell you about any others. As for politicians flying around on wires, maybe they could make it like Circus Circus and drop balloon animals on the crowd. That would make the balloon madness even more fun!

"Feats of Strength"!!!!! That is exactly what we need! Too bad we didn't have that in the primaries. Hey, why not? The "Airing of Grievances" is already well established throughout the election year.
