"You Don't Know Me, Simon!"
Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 3:17AM The Mishawaka Press has reviewed Drink to the Lasses, and kindly pronounced it a piece of non-suckage. It does so while invoking the phrase "the dissection of a fetal pig." I am confident in announcing that this is the world's first literary book review which calls upon the deconstruction of pork--and so all is going according to plan. Thanks, Mishawaka Press!

A very fine review :-)
Not only was that a very fine review, I'm pretty sure it was their first review.
A very fine selection, then.
Hurrah for good reviews! I think Mike's right; congrats on being their inaugural review.
I wonder: Shouldn't this post also be tagged "things which do not suck"?
You know, j.s., I actually thought about tagging it as such for a second, but then feared that it might be misconstrued as me saying that *I* do not suck, which, I assure you, is not the case. So The Masses it remains.
Congrats on a positive review.
But here's my two cents:
The review was nice but...she wrote St. Mary's and not Saint Mary's. You can so tell she was not a SMC Chick.
Also, have you ever considered requesting that your book be required reading for all incoming freshwomen. I was just thinking that if your book was sold at SMC Bookstore prices, you could reitre off the royalities after just one semester.
And when did they close the tunnels????? Do you seriously have to go outside after a swim in the Regina pool to get back to Le Mans, in Jan???? That sounds like a conspiracy from "Kill "em and Hide 'em Health Serivces." Just think how many cases of hypothermia they could write off as "upper respitorary infections"
Well, wasn't the goose that laid the golden egg considered a very special goose? Just a thought...
A decade ago? A DECADE AGO??!! Are we getting old?
No, my friend-- the "getting old" train sped out of the station about two years ago. We ARE old.
Kel Belle - FYI the Regina pool is no more. They filled it in sometime last summer. :(
Congratulations on a great review from one SMC (St. Mary's College of Maryland) grad to another!
Who ever really used the Regina pool? The pool and tunnels were closed for insurance reasons (It was all too, expensive.). The Administrators at good old SMC are too conservative to have Drink be a required reading. In short, they are afraid of reality. FYI...The Keenan Review had restrictions on referring to SMC negatively this year. BOG had something to do with it and I am also guessing so did the Administrators. What happened to not taking things so seriously?
