Time to hike. But only while carrying a velor purse.
This marks my third season in a row after five years in Florida. In the depths of January, I actually suffered anxiety attacks when I would touch the window, and not only was it not warm, there was nothing I could do to make it warm, and it apparently wasn't going to be warm ever, ever again. And so I thought that two consecutive days above fifty degrees would be most exciting, but-- no. Instead, there was illness and general physical misery, for I had forgotten that not only was I new again to spring, I had an entire tri-state-plus-Beltway area full of unfamiliar fauna to experience.
So I stayed inside and sniffled and colored eggs. I have colored eggs a lot. Josh has colored them twice, but showed himself a natural with the Magic Crayon.
Not so much with putting the correct color tablet in the corresponding cup, however. And that is okay. Jesus loves the orange eggs in the green tub, too.

oh mb, i moved to northern va from alabama nearly 3 years ago and my allergies still have not adjusted. i spent over 20 years learning to manage allergens attacking me in september only to move here and be viciously assaulted by unknown TOXINS at any given moment during any given month. best of luck to you in conquering nova allergens, but don't hold your breath. (or DO hold your breath...that might help.)
Hope you and Josh the Pilot have a lovely Easter! Nice egg Josh! The bright blue ones are my favorite!!!
(P.S. It's ok to make 'ugly' eggs. Usually after we have two of every color, we make at least one that is all the colors. Jesus really does not mind. He likes our creativity. :D)
Oh, and MB, don't worry, 5 minutes from now it will be SUMMER, 85 and humid as all hell. You'll feel like you're back in Florida again! hahahahahaha This area has 5 minutes of spring and 10 minutes of fall. The rest is rainy winter and steamy summer. Maryland, my Maryland.
Have a blessed Easter, MB.
And it will get warmer soon, I promise.
((hugs))
Well, it's the first day of spring here in central Florida. I won't tell you then, that it's 85 and the sun is out. Oh, oops, I just did. ;) Have a blessed Easter you two!
I did my eggs yesterday, and they are fabulous. I bought this doo-hicky at Wally World for less than $2 that lets you put the get between two suction cups and rotate it around. Behold, I have mastered the art of striped eggs! Ahh, think I"ll ever grow out of it? My three year old nephew, however, was so over it in less than 5 minutes. Apparently the colors just don't change fast enough for him.
Oooh, Easter eggs are fun. Have a nice Easter, by the way. :)
I don't think it's spring. I'm beginning to think that winter will never, ever be over. Mostly because on the first day of spring, it...snowed. It snowed a LOT. Hopefully you did not get any of this ickiness where you are. :)
[...] There’s This. Posted on Saturday, March 22, 2008 by MB I’m generating enough new-allergen snot to sink an aircraft carrier, but just in time comes a reminder that back at The Swamp, Northern [...]
