Endless, Pre-Shrunk JAMMING!

Today I ran a mile and a half and my legs hurt, which of course affects typing.black_plain_menus_300x300.jpg

Fortunately for us all, I have another mega! exciting! JamsBio update. New account holders are welcome to start writing there as well, which means that if you'd like to read what I've written so far, you can now do so and have a fun music memory page of your own. And if you complete ten posts, you will receive-- are you ready? Are you ready? Are you ready for this?--a tee shirt. Oh! Yes, it's true! One whole TEE SHIRT! Plus a shot at concert tickets and other swag, I'm told. But, you guys! TEE SHIRT!

A few The Readers have already begun their epic climb to teedom. Join them on the Mighty Rock Wall of... of...rock. Once you're in, go ahead on to my URL. The jammin' we shall do! In our tee shirts! (I don't get a tee shirt. I get paid. But you-- it's all 100% cotton goodness for you, my friend.)

You'll still need an invite. If you're invitable, please do leave a comment or email media@drinktothelasses.com with "JamsBio" in the subject line.

I think the comment I left on your memory of Meat Loaf is worth ten posts by itself.

I need to be invited!

Hey MB. I got an e-mail with an inviatation code, but the code is invalid on the website.
Can we try again?

March 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterStacey

Thanks for letting me know, Stacey. I'll have them send out another... let us know if there are still issues.

Sign me up, sister!

Jamsbio hates me! I keep signing up, getting a tiny line of error, then trying to sign in, and it keeps sending me welcomes in my email...and my sign ins don't work! :( Sad!

Yep. Welcome to beta testing.

Sorry you're having issues-- sometimes it locks me out too. I'll have another invite sent to your email address-- maybe that will help. If not, wait a bit and try again. They're probably fiddling with that function right now.

I'm having the same trouble as Kris. A line of error and lots of welcome emails, but I can't actually sign in. I also can't send a message to the feedback address they sent me. :-(

Beta indeed. I'm really sorry about this, guys, and what seems to be happening is that they actually had the site live tonight for a bit-- maybe a test run for the 31st. Not sure exactly what they were doing, but clearly it's affected the login process.

I'll send a another yelly email to somebody. In the meantime, maybe try again tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I'll have another invite sent, and yell some more.

But I really appreciate you trying. Thank you very much for that.

MB -

I would love a more thorough explanation of what exactly this is and what it entails....

Sounds interesting, but I am not sure I need another time-sucking source at the moment.... *g*

Sure, Jules. JamsBio is a bloggish site where people can share memories which are sparked by music. For instance, I always associate "Celebration" with weddings, so I wrote a post about that, using the song as a starting point.

You do not have to write anything if you don't want to. You can stay on my own site if you want to, or click around to anybody else who looks interesting. Some people go there just to read, others to read and share memories of their own. There's a huge database of songs, searchable by artist, track, or album, and each post is about 250 words. Writers may also load a photograph or video onto the post.

I'm part of the "assured content" and get paid a bit for each post. Since it's brand-new, the Powers are trying to entice new people to the site, and are offering free tee shirts to people who make ten posts. They are also promising concert tickets, contests, and other swag.

I think it's a cool concept, and hoped that The Readers might like to share what I've been working on for the past several weeks. If you're interested in going there or maybe even writing some posts of your own, I'd be happy to send you an invitation code. Or if you'd rather wait until the site is fully live on the 31st, that's fine too. Or simply stay put here on BlondeChampagne! Just wanted to let everyone know what I'm up to... I've found that The Readers make EVERYTHING more fun :) So step right up to my next dental appointment, everybody.

Hope that helps-- let me know if you need more info.

MB- I got the initial email telling me that I would get another email with the invitation code, but the second got lost in cyberspace (either that, or it simply hasn't been sent yet- I got the first email on Tuesday). I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I think it may involve me being technologically inept.

sign me up please!! :)

Rather, Josie, it probably means JamsBio was being beta again. Sorry and thanks for letting me know-- I've just put in a request to have another sent to you. Check your bulk or spam folder. Sometimes they get lost in there.

One down, nine to go.

JamsBio was being very very beta when I was trying to post. They've got a lot of work to do if they want the whole thing ready in two weeks.

Okie dokie....twist the arm!

Send me a code, pretty please. ;-)

Hey MB,

I would love to be invited!

[...] Out Amongst The People Posted on Monday, March 17, 2008 by MB For those of you who may have been having login issues over at JamsBio… I am told the issue has now been resolved. Go forth, log in, and jam. Many apologies for the [...]

I got another JamsBio email sans access code. I checked my spam box, but there's nothing there- I think I might just have to wait for it to go un-beta before it'll let me in. Thanks for trying, though!

Please Please Please may I be invited? Thanks!

Josie, check your email, babe.
