Comfort Food
Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 11:14PM Now that I very much don't need to fit into a size six dress anymore, I met Josh The Pilot at the door when he came home from work at 11 PM last week. My purse was slung over my shoulder.
"Where are you going?"
"I need something at the drug store."
"Well, don't go without me this late. Is it an emergency?"
"Yes."
This is what we brought home:
-Two packs of Klondike Bars, one dark chocolate, one milk.
-One package of Fun Size Kit Kat bars, because when you only eat a fraction of the candy bar, it's actually good for you
-Four packages of non-sugar free Jell-O
-One full-size Nestle's Crunch bar, because every time I did a workout DVD which commanded me to do "double crunches," this is immediately what I thought of
-One gallon of cookies and cream ice cream (Josh insisted upon the fake Oreo kind; therefore, he will face no competition from me on this one)
-One pack of Milky Way Fun Size bars
-One bunch of bananas, clearly by error
just this one binge at: mbe@drinktothelasses.com

"One full-size Nestle’s Crunch bar, because ever time I did a workout DVD which commanded me to do “double crunches,” this is immediately what I thought of"
LOL, that was a good one!
I follow a fairly strict diet myself, but all goes to Hell on the weekend. The moment a nutritionist told me I would have to cut back to only two drinks per day on weekends, I told her "No way! I would rather cut on meals during the week; or cutoff an arm for that matter!".
PS: Am I the only one seeing a little smiley in the gray area of the page? At the right side of the word 'Blogroll'?
Yay! Someone else sees the smiley!
I don't see the smiley. I feel left out.
On the subject of binges, I totally agree with you, MB. There's a Walgreen's about a mile from my school. I frequently stop there. Ordinarily I am able to avoid more than one chocolate bar at a time. However, there are times (like Halloween, Christmas, Easter, and several times in between) when I just NEED the chocolate.
My personal favorite is wild cherry M&Ms. Just like chocolate covered cherries, but a whole lot less messy. This makes them perfect to keep in my desk at school!
I can't see the smiley either.
I love to binge. My brother has commented many times that my working out at the gym is fruitless if I come home and eat ice cream or stop at McD's before coming home.
My favorite binge, Diet Coke, Cheddar Cheese Combos (big bag) and Twizzlers pull apart cherry flavor.
My other binge, M&Ms and Chocolate ice cream.
Today I had Chocolate Pumpkin Pie. OOOOHHHHH so very good.
